"Knowledge speaks, but wisdom listens"
- Jimi Hendrix
I believe, to truly understand something is to listen with no agenda and let go of your own thoughts and beliefs as they come to you, so you can begin to understand someone else's. This is not an easy task, it takes self-awareness and practise to ensure you're not holding on to your thoughts or validating your own biases. My approach revolves around listening deeply and asking the right questions to understand a new perspective.
It doesn't matter the maturity of your business nor your budget, there's always a way to harness an understanding of your people → something's always better than nothing. It's about focusing efforts on the places that make the greatest impact - and when done so, your work well and truly pays for itself.
How I work
There's no single measure for a great experience so every approach is to be unique to each business. Here's some key milestones to consider;
I see my clients as partners for the long term. Further, many of my clients become friends, and many of my friends become clients. I love my work, and I love working with people who are just as passionate about their own craft. It brings me the greatest joy connecting new people with new perspectives of their own work and audience, then watching the outcomes flourish.
